Shark Week is approaching. Do you and your child do something fun to celebrate? We usually host a small Shark Week party, watch some of our favorite Shark Week episodes, and make delicious shark crafts. However, one of our favorites is always our shark tooth necklace. For several years, we were able to find real shark teeth on the beach, but in other years we just made a craft foam shark teeth necklace project.
  Craft foam shark project supplies:
  Grey craft foam
  Small paper machine
  Yarn
  Scissors
  Optional-white and/or black paint
To this day, when I found shark teeth on the beach, I was still very excited. However, it is difficult to find them in our area. In the past I had to buy some for craft and classroom projects!
Let's start this simple craft foam shark tooth necklace project. First, collect your supplies.
Next, draw or trace the shapes of several shark teeth on the craft foam. Then, cut out each one. We want at least three shark teeth on each necklace, but you can add as many as you want!
After cutting off the shark teeth, use a small hole punch to add one or two holes to the top of each foam tooth. However, we decided to make holes after we painted the shark teeth.
Then, you can add a little dimension to the craft foam shark tooth necklace project. After cutting the foam, I added a little white and black craft paint to each foam tooth. If you decide to add some paint to your teeth, wait for the paint to dry before proceeding to the next step.
Finally, thread the yarn through the holes you made in the top of the craft foam shark teeth.
That's it! I hope this interesting little craft can inspire you to make your own craft foam shark tooth necklace project in this Shark Week!
